CATALOGUE LAUNCH: @CUArtGallery honours work of Anishinaabe artist #RobertHoule
CUAG’s Summer Vernissage is Tonight, Tuesday May 21, from 5-7:30 pm along with artist Robert Houle’s Catalogue & Print Launch from Robert’s solo exhibition Pahgedenaun (2018 CUAG). The catalogue is $25 & the limited-edition print, entitled schoolhouse, is $250. Purchasers of the print will also receive a catalogue. The CUAG team is known for their award-winning catalogues. I have no doubt Robert Houle: Pahgedenaun, with text by CUAG’s Director Sandra Dyck, will honour his exhibition that was based on his experience at Sandy Bay Residential School.
The windows of the school represent my siblings and parents as we all attended this architecture of assimilation.
