CIRCLE (Centre for Indigenous Research, Culture, Language and Education)

The Fall of 2016 to the Spring of 2017 I worked with CIRCLE, the Centre for Indigenous Research Language and Education, at Carleton University. In my time with CIRCLE I have worked to create more awareness of their presence on campus as well as establishing connections to the broader community of Ottawa.

My work has included design, promotion and PR for their events featuring Indigenous female artists / activists Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, Candace Maracle, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, & Erica Violet Lee.

For the 2017 Student Conference we commissioned Kanien’kehá:ka artist Victoria Ransom to create a design for the poster (first image below), a slightly askew maple leaf. To see more of Victoria’s amazing work here.
