D’ANDREA BOWIE

D’Andrea Bowie is a sculptor and maker exploring connections between methodology and material. D’Andrea’s focus is “medium that retains touch and memory through various modes” producing work “that is instinctual and self-reflective.” She also uses “poetry, performance, and sound” to create “a rich narrative that appeals to the senses and generates deeper involvement.” Her current explorations include: notions of mothering and stewardship as well as the relationships we nurture with the land and those that inhabit it.

D’Andrea gradudated with a BFA at OCADU in the Sculpture and Installation Program and is based in Toronto and rural Port Hope.
