Writers and editors – experienced and new – are welcome to join us in our Library and Archives Reading Room for the Gallery’s first edit-a-thon. Popularized by groups like Art + Feminism, edit-a-thons are free events held to update underrepresented artists’ profiles on websites like Wikipedia.
Staff from the Gallery and the Inuit Art Foundation will provide help for beginners, lists of suggested artists, and reference materials. Please note IAF staff will be on-site as of 5 pm.
Free admission. Public Wi-Fi available on-site. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, and if possible, to create a Wikipedia account in advance.
Presented in partnership with the Inuit Art Foundation. For more information, go to www.gallery.ca/research/library-archives/edit-a-thons
